-I find it kind of funny that no matter how faithful the blacks were, they were still not trusted fully.
-It is a good idea to treat the black soldiers as the white soldiers.
-It is a shame that even though the blacks such as Tack fought in the war, they still strugled to get the same treatment.
- The blacks must have been very grateful to even get their freedom.
- Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben was a huge part in getting all the soldiers ready for the war.

4 Questions:
-Why did some states believe that the blacks and Native Americans would turn on the American side?
- Why were some of the predominantly white states trying to get around giving the black soldiers the same treatment?
- When someone was sent home early, was it more of a disappointment or something to celebrate about?
- Did each racial group in the Continental army grow more closer, rather than grow apart?

-Personification: "Desperation was leading him to consider..." (Cox 86). This is personification because it says that desperation leads someone.

-Simile: "...used his friendsgips with other officers as another training tool..." (Cox 91). This is a simile because it compares the friendships with the training tool.
