Nineth 5,4,3,2,1

5 Comments:
-Many blakcs are starting to feel nervous, thus taking it out on each other.
-Once the Minutemen and militia lose direction everything because confused and chaotic.
-Greene is starting to panic because he can't take control of his militia.
-We see that not everyone trusted each other in the war even if they were on the same side.
-It is a wonder how the war moves through many areas of the world.

4 Questions
-Why do the blacks suddenly want to fight each other instead of their opponents?
-How exatly were people from all over the United States gathered together?
-Were their still contreversy between new states as the was went on?
-Were these war figures real?

-Grapeshot (Cox 140):a cluster of small cast-iron balls formerly used as a charge for a cannon.
-Sweltered (Cox 146):To suffer from oppressive heat.

-Reconnaissance(Cox 148):a search made for useful military information in the field, esp. by examining the ground.

2 Literary terms
-Metaphor: "The whole country is in danger of being laid waste" (Cox 141).
-Play on words: "...to storm the city" (Cox 148). This is a play on words because it was storming at the time in the novel, and then it says to colonel did not want to storm the city.

1 Summary Sentence: This section is how there is a lot of distrust among the same side of war.
